Our story
Born from a family treasure hunt
Today we build hand-made family treasure hunts for New England’s Renaissance Faires, and a game world that doesn’t close when the faire does.
Every summer on the beach in Chatham, Massachusetts, my Uncle Chuck turned our family vacation into a real treasure hunt: a hand-drawn map, handwritten clues rolled up and hidden across the sand, each one leading to the next, until we were digging up a chest he’d built and filled with toys and candy. I started X Treasure Hunt to give every family that same feeling — solving it together, and the moment the shovel hits the chest.
Where we are today
We were founded in 2023 in Marshfield, Massachusetts, to turn a Renaissance Faire into a real-life adventure game. Our 2026 season covers Robin Hood’s Medieval Faire, the Maine Renaissance Faire and the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.
Every quest comes in two tiers. The Advanced Quest runs 60 to 90 minutes and is built for seasoned puzzle-solvers. The Beginner Quest runs 30 to 45 minutes and is built for families and first-timers.

The Company
24 characters. Three are yours from the start; the rest join by rank on the 1–100 ladder, or by a deed done at the faire.
The Leaderboard
Quests, eggs and records earn Legacy. Your earned total is your rank, and it never falls.
